The Week After NaNo

Has been a bummer of a week. I’ve been sick off and on since Sunday night, so my week has kind of sucked – that’s my excuse for not making any new blog posts and just updating the note in the sidebar, anyway. Hopefully all of you have had a better week and haven’t contracted whatever viral nastiness it is that’s been going around. Which isn’t what was wrong with me, but I know a lot of people have been getting it and it’s reportedly awful.

I have gotten some writing done this week – I actually do write pretty much every day, sick or not – in both A World Full of Monsters and In the Land of Ever After, and I added a new story arc in the Finders Keepers series which will hopefully see the light of day sometime in January. Along with the next Tremors: the Subtext story, although I’m pretty well stuck on that one right now.

In other news, I gave my wife permission to finish tearing up re-doing the ground floor of our house as a Christmas present, which she has been happily taking advantage of every single day since. Foodie Dice are a thing. Pantone announced that the color of the year is pink AND blue. We got just enough snow to hopefully kill all the spiders (Indiana is the KINGDOM of the FUCKING SPIDERS). I found out there is a life-size gingerbread house at Disney World. Our Maine Coon inexplicably managed to get a fly trap stuck to his tail. And Nox Arcana released their new Christmas album.

Have a good weekend, everyone, and regular posting should be back on track next week – because today we’ll be finished painting, and tomorrow I’m going to cave and go buy a box of whatever drug promises to work better than the one Larry the Cable Guy shills in those infinitely silly jet ski riding, corn dog eating commercials of his.

(You didn’t seriously think I was going to embed one of Larry’s commercials there, did you?)

just stuff
