This week on The Happy Page: Okay, I really really love Carol of the Bells. 😉 And Trans Siberian Orchestra, too.
It was actually really hard to pick just the right video this time – not only is the video posting on Christmas Day, it’s also the last Happy Page video of the year! And this has been one hell of a year. We’ve seen so much death, so much loss, so much human ugliness in 2016. Even just in this holiday season we seem to have so many people running around who want to kill all the joy and light and fun and happiness they can reach. And all I can say to that, to you, is: Don’t let them win. It’s not about politics. It’s not about religion. It’s not even about issues or causes. It’s about misery wanting company, and misery doesn’t deserve your company – you’re worth more than that. The light inside of you, that burning candle or shining lantern or color-changing app-controlled LED bulb (some people are more techy than others) does not deserve to be hidden away or snuffed out to appease miserable, joyless people. We need to make more light when things get dark, not less.
Best wishes from GKG for a merry Yule season to you all, whatever and however you choose to celebrate, and a happy and bright New Year!
The Happy Page is updated every Sunday with a video that is cute or yummy or funny or inspiring or something. |
