Finally, the second half of the Prince of Persia: Age of the Sandglass series, sequel to Mark of the Sandglass, is finished and posted on AO3.
That said, I don’t recommend that you read it. At least not without reading the 15 tag warnings I had to put on it and making note of the Mature rating, because it is Game of Thrones levels of nasty in spots. Consider yourselves warned, please read with caution!
Yes, if you’re wondering, all of those elements were part of the original story I wrote for NaNoWriMo in 2010, rather than being part of the horror kick I rather had forced upon me this year. I’ve never said I don’t come up with dark stuff, twisted stuff, or disturbing stuff – I just don’t usually share that stuff, because I don’t want people to feel worse after they read something I wrote than they did before they started reading it. Hopefully the ‘bittersweet ending’ on this one took care of that, but considering what goes on at the beginning of it…well, your mileage may vary, is all I’m saying. 😉
