We have been significantly over-blessed with rain this summer, enough to make me really glad we live on a hill. Not complaining about the most recent thunderstorm, though, because it means I don’t have to go out and water. Or go out and mow the grass. 😉 It also cooled things off just a bit, which was nice since our A/C stopped working yesterday afternoon. Wondering about the extensive overhaul on the blog today? My home office currently has our only freestanding fan residing in it, and the temperature in the rest of the house is hovering around 80 degrees – any housework I didn’t have done by 8am is not getting done until the sun goes down or the A/C guy shows up, whichever comes first. I felt like being super productive today, though, so I made a blender full of frappuccino and spent my day working on all of the computer-based chores I haven’t had time to get to lately.
Speaking of the overhaul, a little warning about one of the newly-added RSS feeds: I love Hauntcast, I’ve been a loyal listener for years, but I also love my very diverse readership and that’s why I’m putting a little content warning on here for you. Hauntcast is a podcast for grownups who are into all things haunt- and Halloween-related…and who aren’t easily offended. It is not a podcast you want to listen to if profanity and crude humor bother you, and it is definitely NSFW. I personally think it’s an awesome podcast, but I also grew up watching Monty Python, Benny Hill and SNL with my Marine-turned-cop father so my tolerance for that sort of thing is really high – your personal mileage may vary.
