I’m not a huge fan of Poe – cue some outraged shrieking, I’m sure. I like some of his stories, but you can only have his most popular works shoved at you so many times by breathless Poe-zealots before you cringe every time someone mentions one of them.
Except for this one. Now, this is just an excerpt from one particular recording of The Cask of Amontillado, because this one was read by Dick Terhune and I really like his work. There are plenty more audio/video versions of this story out there that you can listen to for free in their entirety…but in my opinion, this one is well worth the relatively small amount of money you have to pay to get the whole thing.
If you liked this but you’re still obsessed with The Raven…well, taletube had Dick read that one too.
