Fairy tales are horror. Think about that for a minute. Witches eat people in fairy tales. Fairies turn people into beasts, curses turn them into stones or animals or trees. Monsters live in caves and woods and under bridges, waiting for an unwary traveler to become their next victim.
In Norway, that means trolls.
This movie is worth watching if you like this kind of thing. Or if you’ve ever shuddered over the depictions of trolls in Hyugen and Poortvliet’s Gnomes. Or if you’ve ever been driving through the countryside late at night and wondered what that was you thought you saw back in the trees.
