halloweenradio_bannerI ran across this internet radio station, of all places, on Pinterest. Yes really. You look at their FB page – or for that matter, any page with comments on their website – and you would swear this station was dead, but I clicked Listen and a very strange assortment of music started to play. An old jazz song. A golden oldie. A pretty, haunting instrumental. An annoying children’s song. Another nicely creepy, atmospheric instrumental. And then one of my favorites, Nightmare on My Street.

By this point, I was bookmarking the page and following them on Facebook.

If you only like a certain kind of music you probably won’t like this internet radio station, but if you’re okay with being surprised (and occasionally really f**king annoyed – I absolutely HATE that worm song, and it goes on FOREVER) then you should probably click on the banner above and go listen to some Halloween Radio.

Or, if you’re reading this and going, ‘Hey, I don’t want to hear about some radio station, why haven’t you written anything lately?!’: Okay, so after nearly two weeks of not feeling like writing ANYTHING, I sat down today and wrote 2500+ words – pretty much an entire story – in one sitting. And I’m still trying to iron out the kinks in the next part of Heart of a Hero, a situation that sucks donkey balls because just about all of the rest of the story is done and Chapter 2 just won’t cooperate with me; rewriting it wasn’t working so I got desperate and called for backup, and now we’re waiting for my backup to get caught up on the series so she can actually help me. Might take a few more days but then things should be back on tr…wait a minute, when did someone do a rap version of The Addams Family theme song? <happy sigh> This kind of surprise is why I used to like listening to the radio so much.

  1. Enjoying the Halloween Radio station. Thank you for sharing it. I’d forgotten about the rap version of the Addam’s Family theme song. I think it was the end credits song from one of the movies that came out in the 90s.

    1. Welcome! I’m not sure. I googled ‘addams family rap’ and the MC Hammer version from the movie was the song that came up, but it didn’t sound quite the same. Maybe someone did a cover? If so, I liked the cover better than the original. 😉
