Have I mentioned I hate hackers? Especially Eastern European hackers, who are the website version of roaches but only about half as intelligent.
Just spent the better part of my day UNHACKING my blog. So if you were over here at any point earlier and the whole thing sort of wonked out on you, that was me doing repairs. It’s all fixed now, and I tightened things up so hopefully it won’t happen again.
Don’t worry, the hacked bit wasn’t a thing that would have affected most of you – it was some kind of 404 redirect, apparently, and I actually have most of my regulars’ 404s from the old Campfire site on permanent custom redirects already. So unless you are also a hacker and have been fishing for files on the site, you never encountered it. If you are a hacker who was fishing for files, I hope you enjoyed visiting your buddy at his sponsored website over and over and over again. He’s probably just happy to get more clicks, so yay you for helping him out.
