So instead of puffing up my word count for the last couple days of Camp NaNo, I’ve been working on ‘the next story’ in a handful of unfinished series I’ve got going – and a couple of them actually got done. First up is Talking, part 9 of Scientific Rescuing. Next is Chapter 6 of Dry Rot – I broke that story up into chapters, too, something I should have done ages ago.
Stories that aren’t done yet but getting there are ‘the next story’ (yes, some of the documents are actually called that) in Tremors: The Subtext, Finders Keepers, and Adventures in Baby-Making. My current magnum opus Disney crossover In the Land of Ever After, which I have done a lot of cleanup and editing on this month, has five chapters posted and four more scheduled as of this morning with many more to come. And I may have a new fic in a new-to-me fandom coming which is currently titled “I Hear You” that I got the idea for from watching Jack, Mark, Bob and Wade play Left 4 Dead 2. Also, still putting thought into the next story for Damage Control, because I have the beginning and the ending but not the very tricky to write part that goes in the middle, and still debating whether to start posting “In the Land of Ever After” to AO3 one chapter at a time the way I’m posting it here. Whether I do or not I’ll still keep posting it here, though, because it’s so much easier to get the formatting right and do whatever editing it needs on the blog. Not to mention, here on the blog I can schedule the chapters to post whenever I want them to, in advance, and I’m liking that convenience a lot right now. 😀
