Yes, finally. It took me a while for a lot of reasons – some of them were even good reasons – but I finally got a Facebook page up for the blog, and pretty much everything I post here will be mirrored there. Just in case anyone is confused about what might be showing up where on any of my social media channels, though, here’s a general breakdown:
- All major posts from the blog will be cross-posted to Facebook and G+, but you’ll still have to check back here every week to see what’s new on The Happy Page.
- G+ is usually where I share news stories and articles, some Atlas Obscura stuff, and entries from Snopes. Occasionally music or art or something I think is funny.
- Facebook is where I follow a lot of people and organizations in a more fannish way, and where I have access to a veritable fountain of snark and memes courtesy of my kids and their friends. So, mostly fluffier stuff and funny stuff over there, sometimes some news if it’s something I think other people would want to see.
- Pinterest is where I store a huge assortment of random crap that interests me: Recipes, how-tos, fan art, regular art, and nifty things of all shapes and sizes. Including the picture of Jacksepticeye with his Sam plushie that everyone keeps repinning.
- YouTube is where I go to watch videos, not post videos, but I do keep public playlists there of videos I’ve shared on the blog and featured on the Happy Page. Right now I also have a playlist of the #WTFU (Where’s The Fair Use) movement going, because that’s an issue that has the potential to affect more than just YouTubers.
- AO3 is where all the fic lives. But you already knew that. 😉
